I didn’t do the major planning for the trek. That was Rebecca and Juan Camilo. This is what I expect we will do.
Chantal and I will leave our home in central France the morning of August 1st for a 5 hour rail trip to Paris. We will be taking Julian, our grandson, to the airport for his return trip to the US, on August 2.
The night of August 3rd be plan to sleep at Aude’s apartment so that the 4 of us (Aude, Eva, Chantal and Babu) can taxi together to Orly airport to catch a 7:30 a.m. flight to Madrid.
We then have 2 hours and 40 minutes in Madrid to change flights, and terminals, before boarding Iberia 6585 for the 10 hour flight to Bogota. I hope I can get some sleep on the plane.
Once in Bogotá, we hope to have 4 hours before a 1 hour 30 minute domestic flight to Santa Marta, where we expect to be met by the representative from Magic Tour and be driven to our hotel. And there to fall into a deep sleep !
Our trek starts at 7 am on Wednesday August the 7th. with a 2 hour road trip to El Mamey, where we will set out on foot for the Lost City.
